I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again–travel essentials are at their best when they’re lightweight, compact, and easy to pack. Hence this list of easy-packing gift ideas for the traveler in your life. I wouldn’t want to be gifted something big and bulky, only to have to tell the gifter, “I love it, buuuut I just don’t have room for it in my bag!”
And I wouldn’t want any gifter to be on the receiving end of that sentence, either. So check ’em out, folks! These are the things the traveler in your life would be overjoyed to receive and even happier to take along on their next trip.
Beauty
Eye Mask – The best companion for sleeping just about anywhere–buses, trains, hostels, you name it! Pair it with earplugs for a combo every traveler will love.
Manicure Set – Because I’d rather spend my travel dollars on cool experiences, not manicures.
Solid Perfume – Pack it in your carry-on, smell fabulous always. Pacifica makes some of my favorite tropical scents, like Tahitian Gardenia.
Transfer-Proof Lipstick – Maybelline’s 24-hour Superstay Lipcolor is by far the longest-lasting lipstick I’ve ever used. Eat, drink, and be merry!
Fashion
Travel-Themed Watch – I love maps, and a watch is a must-have when you need to stick to a travel itinerary. Win-win!
Tieks Ballet Flats – Comfortable, packable, teeny tiny and chic.
Infinity Scarves – My favorite kind of scarf. Wrap it three times and you’re off!
Photography
Miniature tripod – Try a sturdy one for a DSLR or a flexible, multi-purpose Gorillapod.
GoPro Hero4 Silver – A tiny camera that packs a punch, perfect for people on the go.
Olloclip 4-in-1 Lens Set – Take your iPhone photography to the next level with this awesome little set of lenses.
Easy Macro Cell Lens Band – Another lens that’s made for smartphones, this is a single macro lens attached to a rubber band that fits on just about any phone! So cool!
64 GB Memory Card – When you take lots of photos, you need lots of storage capacity.
Colorful Camera Strap – Because no one said camera straps have to be boring.
Tech
Bluetooth Speaker – For when your laptop speakers just won’t cut it.
E-Reader – These things are becoming more and more sophisticated. And a refurbished Kindle will only set you back $65!
Nrml Earbuds – Custom-fit, 3D printed earbuds, that supposedly don’t fall out! I want!
Lifeproof Waterproof Case – Finally take your smartphone everywhere with this super-sturdy waterproof case.
Miscellaneous
Travel French Press – All I have to say is, why didn’t I know about this sooner?!
Packing Cubes – Stay organized when traveling and never lose a single sock again!
Adjustable Neck Pillow – This is something I’ve never traveled with, but I’d love to, especially on long-haul flights. This one from Lewis N. Clark seems ideal!
