Looking back over my travels of the past year is a trip unto itself–in large part because I could have SWORN I said I was going to slow the F down and not travel quite so much.
And then 6 countries and countless cities later, well, the year was gone and I was just as freaking tired as I was the year before that. You know, the FIRST time I said I wanted to slow things down.
Luckily I live and die by the hashtag #NOREGRETS and therefore cannot be upset with how things went down this year. It was a wild ride, but the truth is I wouldn’t take back a single moment of it. It wasn’t always awesome, but I learned a metric fuckton about myself and the world around me, and that kind of personal growth doesn’t come without a price.
And naturally, because I’m a little trigger happy with my camera and don’t always get around to writing about each and every destination I visit, I wind up with a lot of photos that never get shared here on the blog. So I decided to throw together this photo post in part because it was way too much fun to take a stroll down memory lane to do so, and in part because I genuinely love sharing my experiences with you–not to mention I’m quite proud of where my photography skills are heading the more I practice.
But before I start rolling out these photos, many of which I have never shared elsewhere, I just want to give a quick shoutout to everyone I traveled with this year who was at some point subjected to playing photographer for me. Your kindness did not go unnoticed.
And of course, if I did have the profound pleasure of spending time with you this year, a tip of the hat to you as well for making it a truly life-changing year for me.
